DEADLINE: Heinrich Boell Foundation's Climate Media Fellowship

The Heinrich Boell Foundation welcomes applications for its Climate Media Fellowship 2013. The EU and Germany have embarked on an ambitious transition toward a low carbon economy where great emphasis is placed on the role of increased energy efficiency and renewable energy in securing economic opportunities for business and industry. The goal of the Climate Media Fellowship is to familiarize US energy experts with the European and German experiences and policy solutions and communicate these into the US policy debate on a local, regional and national level.

Open to media journalists from the U.S. who are eager to learn and report about the European and/or German energy transition in the U.S. Ideally, the reports and articles resulting from the Climate Media Fellows’ research will subsequently be published widely across the United States. The Foundation supports up to three Fellows in setting up adequate meeting schedules in Europe and covers travel logistics and an honorarium fee for a 3-4 day long research trip to Europe. Choose your own field of study within the energy and climate realm and decide on the time of your research trip between April and October 2013.
