"NASA Will Launch First Satellite To Measure Carbon July 1"

"NASA will launch the first satellite designed to measure carbon dioxide in the atmosphere around the world next week.

The Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 satellite will be a critical tool for scientists and the administration in tracking climate change.

NASA spokesman Stephen Cole said the satellite will help scientists 'better predict how carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere will change in the future, which is a key factor that drives a changing climate.'"
