"Politics: Murkowski Says 'Be Honest' About Rising Temps"

"Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) is not impressed with U.S. EPA's attempts to scrub climate change from its portfolio.

In an interview this week with energy journalist Bill Loveless for the "Columbia Energy Exchange" podcast, Murkowski pushed back on the agency's efforts to target science, grants and offices simply because they address climate change.

"I don't like the notion that because something has the word climate in it that it is somehow ... suspect and that we need to eliminate this office," she said. "Let's be — let's be realistic, let's be honest about the changes that we are seeing and work to address them rather than to say anything that relates to climate needs to just be shut down.""
