"Stranded Cargo Ship Spills Oil in Vietnam Fishing Grounds"

"HANOI -- Oil is spilling from a cargo vessel that ran aground on the reefs off Vietnam’s Ly Son island, roughly 730 kilometers (450 miles) south of the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi."



"The Panama-flagged ship Bright Royal, ran aground early Friday in waters about six nautical miles northwest of the island in Quang Ngai province on Vietnam’s south central coast.

According to the Quang Ngai Port Authority, the ship smashed into the island’s reefs, causing 387 tons of fuel oil to spill from two tanks."
