Awards & Fellowships RSS

SEJ sponsors its own contest to honor the year's best environmental journalism in newspapers, magazines and newsletters and on television, radio and the Internet. But there are also many other awards for reporting on environment-related topics, as well as fellowships and workshops.

Freedom of Information RSS

In March 2002, the Society of Environmental Journalists' board of directors formed a First Amendment Task Force "to address freedom-of-information, right-to-know, and other news gathering issues of concern to the pursuit of environmental journalism." These pages are one result of that task force work.

SEJ's annual conference brings together journalists, scientists, government officials, advocacy leaders and others to explore the many facets of environmental stories in order to improve the quality and accuracy of environmental reporting. Annual conferences are open to both SEJ members and those who are not members.
