Journalists and freelance writers based in the U.S. may apply for the Kyoto Prize Journalism Fellowship.  The selected journalist will travel to San Diego, March 12-14, 2013, to attend the annual Kyoto Prize presentation ceremony, laureate lectures and workshops.
The 2013 Kyoto Prize Journalism Fellowship application deadline has been extended by one week — applications will be accepted though February 8th.

The fellowship covers transportation, accommodations, and per-diem expenses.
