Feds Release Report on Links Between Breast Cancer and Environment

The Institute of Medicine is scheduled to release on Dec. 7, 2011, a report on links between breast cancer and the environment. Along with identifying various risk factors, and the strength of the evidence, the report will address preventive measures and research gaps. The report was requested by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, and IOM committee work began in December 2009. The IOM is a unit of the National Academies.
