| About Me | I was born, raised and schooled in Charleston, South Carolina, but fled west in 2001. Since then, I’ve lived in a half dozen cities in Colorado and New Mexico, focusing my career on environmental journalism. Working at the Fort Collins Coloradoan and the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, my reporting has focused on oil and gas development, national parks, wilderness designation, land use, water storage and management, mining, conservation and recreation. I do freelance work when time permits. With my byline atop stories covering everything from oil shale and nuclear power to wilderness designation and national parks, my primary journalistic, photographic and research interests are Western natural resource and environmental issues.
