| About Me | I've been a print and radio journalist for nearly 30 years. My work experience ranges from metropolitan newspapers to public radio, both at the state and national level. I have investigative journalism awards in stories on local government and on prison health care. I believe in journalism as a public service. For fun, I'm a volunteer deckhand with the Los Angeles Maritime Institute, sailing tall ships in an Outward Bound-style program for teens deemed to be at risk of joining a gang. |
