| About Me | I am a young freelancer and work-at-home dad who has written for a great variety of publications, including the Chicago Tribune, Grist, OnEarth, New Scientist, and E Magazine. I blog for E on city design and for the Christian Science Monitor on gardening. I began writing about the environment after years of camping, gardening, and obsessive recycling. The coal plant I see from my window was also an inspiration. When not working or gardening, I like to bike, tour the scenic South Side, and learn the names of birds and plants. I like to call myself the smallest farmer in the Midwest. |
