| About Me | A journalist and communications specialist, Monica Emerich is the author of the book, "The Gospel of Sustainability: Media, Market and LOHAS (Univ. of Illinois, 2011), an analysis of the cultural constructions of "sustainability" and who is affected, for better or worse. Starting as a newspaper reporter in the Chicago area in the 1980s, Emerich has been director of research for two publishing firms in the sustainability sector, a freelance writer, and an academic focusing on the intersection of sustainability and the marketplace. She is founder of Groundwork Research & Communications, a consulting firm for organizations with a focus on sustainability and healthy living. |
