| About Me | KATIE CAMPBELL is a writer, photographer and documentary filmmaker. She writes about a variety of subjects but has a penchant for environmental stories and has been working on a book about the Earth Liberation Front. Her narrative nonfiction stort about egg donation was published in The Best Creative Nonfiction 2008. Her documentary on WWII conscientious objectors was selected for the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. She worked as an enterprise reporter at newspapers in Florida and Minnesota where she earned awards for in-depth coverage of the criminalization of mental illness, the rise of medical bankruptcy among the uninsured and Florida’s urban growth. Katie now teaches at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. She is also multimedia editor at Etude: The Journal of Literary Nonfiction. |
