| About Me | Lisa Palmer is a metro-Washington, DC-based freelance writer and editor. She has written on everything from biotechnology and dramatic medical narratives to green tech and sustainable agri-business for leading magazines and newspapers. Recent projects include a freelance stint as a writer and editor for the National Academy of Sciences and producing a reporting guide for journalists at the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism. My work has been published in Scientific American, Popular Mechanics, Fortune Small Business, Entrepreneur, and many other publications. I am a graduate of Boston University and earned my master’s degree at Simmons College in Boston. Prior to my career as a writer, I was a teacher and a research analyst. I am a professional member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Society of Environmental Journalists, the National Association of Science Writers and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. |
