| About Me | Molly lives in eastern Idaho, just a stone (or potato) throw from the Wyoming border. Yellowstone National Park lies to the north and Grand Teton National Park to the east. Much of Molly’s work is fueled by the time she spends outside exploring the natural world and investigating the issues and cultures pertinent to mountain communities, including the very one she lives in. Her pieces have appeared in numerous media outlets including Outside, O: The Oprah Magazine, Sierra and Backpacker magazines; The Wall Street Journal and The Boston Globe newspapers; National Geographic News and Smithsonian.com websites; the national syndicate Writers on the Range and Living On Earth, Wyoming Public Radio and National Native News radio programs. In 2008, Molly was awarded Middlebury College’s Environmental Journalism Fellowship and in 2010 was a Writer-In-Residence at Grand Teton National Park’s Murie Center. |
