| About Me | Peter Fairley has reported on global energy and technology developments for two decades, tracking the story from the coalfields of Inner Mongolia to the unlit villages of Bolivia’s Cordillera Real. His byline appears regularly in both print and online publications including Architectural Record, Discover, MIT’s Technology Review, and IEEE Spectrum, among others. He is also a frequent commentator on innovation and the environment and has appeared on national broadcasts in the U.S., Canada and France and speaks on energy innovation to university, professional and business organizations. Before taking up independent writing Peter served as Washington Bureau Chief for Chemical Week, chronicling the global chemical industry’s collision with the environment. He holds a Masters in science, health & environmental reporting from New York University, and a B.S. in molecular biology from McGill. He is the author of "Electricity & Magnetism", a narrative of the field’s great discoveries and inventions for Grade 6 readers and up, and a contributor to the award-winning 2003 multi-platform production "Fueling the Future: How the battle over energy is changing everything". |
