In October, several hundred premier environmental reporters will descend on Flint, MI, for the 28th annual conference of the Society of Environmental Journalists.
They're coming to gather story ideas, make contacts and deepen their expertise. You've got a story to tell, and we'd like to reach journalists and the public with it. Take advantage of this unique gathering. Come to Flint and be a part of #SEJ2018!
WHO ATTENDS? SEJ's members include journalists in all media, as well as educators and students. Together, our members reach millions of readers, viewers and listeners in the United States and beyond with reports on environment, science, health, business and other issues. Also attending: academics, environmental experts and advocates, government officials, scientists and others who are interested in the issues and how journalists are covering them.
WHY EXHIBIT? SEJ's members use information from organizations like yours to build their source lists and add to their understanding of complex environmental issues — and to learn about the innovations you've developed to help solve tough environmental problems.
You and your organization are engaged in environmental matters; you know the importance of keeping the public informed. Make sure SEJ members know your story!
DISCOUNT REGISTRATION: SEJ offers a special discount to exhibitors* to register for the full conference. If you reserve booth, table space or reception space, you can register up to three exhibit staff for sessions for $600 per person. Email email@example.com and ask for the Exhibitor discount code after you've reserved exhibit or reception space.
We know that many of you want to support SEJ, and now there's a way you can. Sponsorships range from $2,500 to $50,000. You’re always welcome to give more, or less, or to sign up for à la carte sponsorship options listed here. Sponsorships can include a presence at the conference if desired, including an ad in the program booklet, an exhibit booth, an item or two for the conference bag, registration and space to hold an independent reception, depending on the amount of funding.

Your event sponsorship will be acknowledged with signage at the event, noted in the program book (if the sponsorship is arranged before printing), on SEJ’s website and other places of high visibility. Catered event sponsorships will include more or less visibility, depending on the sponsorship amount.
NOTE: All programs at SEJ’s conferences are planned by members, the conference chairs and the conference director. Sponsorship doesn’t change this. There is no quid pro quo with respect to SEJ’s program content.

Reach SEJ's conference attendees with an ad in the program booklet and on sej.org.
We've kept the prices way down to make sure you can get your message out. SEJ's program books go to hundreds of reporters and others attending the conference, but it doesn't stop there. With SEJ's fundraising efforts, the books reach environmental media leaders for years after the conference is over. Advertisers are also listed on SEJ's website, along with independent reception hosts and exhibitors.

Host a Reception
Held Thurs. Oct. 4, immediately following the all-day tours, this event is 4-5 hours of relaxed face-time with 350 - 400 attendees. This is easily one of the most popular events for attendees. Cost includes space, pipe and drape, a table and two chairs. Catering isn’t included.
Have press kits ready to hand out. Local beer is always a good draw. Even better than beer: bring along some experts to chat with attendees.
Receptions will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Specs and fees are listed below. Reception areas are approximately 25' x 25' and are for Thurs. evening ONLY. Reception booths are approximately 10' x 15' and remain Thurs. evening until Sat. afternoon. Catering is not included in the room fee. Hosts will be sent catering information after space has been reserved.
Sizes of reception areas can change, but usually not dramatically. SEJ will confirm reception area dimensions.
