AGU Climate Q & A Service [1]
The American Geophysical Union's Climate Q & A Service [2] includes over 700 PhD-trained climate scientists who are volunteering, in teams, to answer journalists' emailed questions about climate science, from atmospheric chemistry to oceanography to ecology to paleoclimate.
The scientists are on call to answer questions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday (Pacific Standard Time) until Friday Jan. 21, 2011 at 11:59pm PST.
Or send questions directly to questions@agu.emailcenterpro.com [3]. Contact Peter Weiss, +1-202-777-7507, pweiss@agu.org [4] for more info.
The Service originated as a pilot program to answer climate science questions during the Copenhagen Climate Negotiations in December 2009. This year’s Climate Q & A Service is set up for the three-month period centered around the climate negotiations in Cancun [5] (29 Nov. – 10 Dec. 2010).
See the Q & A website [2] for further details.
