Journalists are invited to apply to a Fellowship program during the 13th Conference of the Parties (COP13) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Cancun, Mexico, in December 2016.

The Earth Journalism Network's Biodiversity Media Initiative [1] invites working journalists, particularly those from developing countries, to apply.

We also particularly welcome applicants from journalists who identify as indigenous peoples.

Selected participants will attend a day-long workshop on December 10th before spending Dec 11-17 at the conference developing sources and story ideas, networking with other journalists, and reporting on the negotiations of the 13th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
