Deepen your understanding of environmental science and policy, and enhance your journalism skills at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Ted Scripps Fellowships in Environmental Journalism [1] at the University of Colorado, Boulder's Center for Environmental Journalism [2] are open to U.S. journalists (reporters, editors, producers and freelancers) working in print or broadcast with a minimum of five years' full-time experience. Prior experience covering the environment is not necessary. Five fellowships are awarded annually. Fellows take classes, attend special seminars, take field trips, and engage in independent study at a university renowned for its environmental science and policy studies.
Fellows receive a stipend of $80,000 and will travel (expenses paid) to the Society of Environmental Journalists annual conference [3].
The fellowship begins in mid-August with a week's orientation prior to classes beginning and continues into mid-May.
Deadline: Mar 1 annually.
