FL Breakwater Could Hurt Sea Turtles [1]

"Two of Florida's top politicians are pushing state and federal regulators to approve a taxpayer-funded breakwater that would slow down, but not stop, erosion threatening expensive Palm Beach County condos. Craig Pittman of the St. Petersburg Times found internal e-mails showing biologists fear political pressure will succeed in getting the breakwater approved, even though it will block sea turtles from a crucial nesting beach." Story ran June 29, 2009. [2]
