The Observatory [1]

The Columbia Journalism Review's Observatory [2] critiques environment, science, and medical journalism, as well as politics. The blog, launched in 2008 and edited by Curtis Brainard, aims to "encourage clarity, accuracy, and accountability in the coverage of all things technical and complex."

Find the latest on the Gulf oil spill's plume, extreme weather, global warming, retractions of scientific papers, and so much more.
