SEJ Objects to Interior Dept. Proposal To Gut FOIA Rules [17]

The Society of Environmental Journalists has objected to the Interior Department's proposal to limit the amount of records the public can request under the Freedom of Information Act. SEJ commented on a rulemaking that would let Interior deny FOIA requests if it felt they called for "unreasonably burdensome" searches.
