Pruitt Told Senate He Didn't Use Personal Email for Gov Business: He Did [1]

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions isn’t the only Trump Cabinet official being pressed to explain omissions in congressional testimony at his confirmation hearing. An environmental group and several Democratic senators are demanding a review of the personal email account of Scott Pruitt, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, after he said during confirmation hearings that he never used that account for official business as Oklahoma state attorney general."

DEADLINE: McCloy Fellowships on Global Trends [13]

The fellowships allow American and German journalists and others to research and assess pressing topics on the transatlantic agenda while engaging with their counterparts overseas: equity and social justice, urbanization, climate change, sustainability and more. $7,000 stipend. Apply by May 30, 2025.

DEADLINE: NPF Farm to Table Fellowship [14]

This National Press Foundation  expenses-paid fellowship, May 14-17, 2017, will take U.S.-based journalists to Des Moines, Iowa to learn about food labeling, growing methods, GMOs, pesticide and herbicide use, agriculture research, antibiotics, organics, sustainability and government policy. Deadline: Mar 20.

Groups Decry Charges Against Standing Rock Journalists [15]

The Society of Environmental Journalists has joined other press-freedom groups in calling for charges to be dropped against at least 10 journalists arrested in recent months for covering the protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Some of those journalists were in court March 2, 2017.
