Responsibility — Climate Change as Challenge for Intercultural Inquiry on Values

Climate change requires globally concerted initiatives that cannot be motivated by direct practical self-interest and economic incentives alone. The aim of the Global Dialogue Conference 2009 is to compare conceptions of ecological responsibility across cultures, and to explore the role of intercultural value studies for the development, communication, and practical implementation of new models of future-oriented and collective responsibility. Deadline for abstract submission July 15.  Decisions on abstracts at latest August 15. Proceedings will be published after the conference.
