The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service commissioned a panel of experts to draw up maps and recommendations on how to save the Florida panther -- then buried the report. In the second of a two-part series, Craig Pittman of the St. Petersburg Times looks April 19, 2010, [2] at the politics that came into play, as well as the questionable science that became the basis for allowing development to continue to wipe out Florida panther habitat.
