SEJ Joins Protest of Sec. Pompeo Treatment of NPR, Media [1]

SEJ has protested Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's retaliation [2] against, and abuse of [3], National Public Radio and its reporters. SEJ President Meera Subramanian signed the January 30, 2020 letter [4].

"SEJ believes it necessary to speak out against conduct aimed at intimidating all journalists and undermining the bedrock American principle of a free, independent press," Subramanian wrote.
