Summer 2026 applications open July 29, 2026. The application cycle will close September 1, 2026 at 9AM PT.

Stipends are available to any journalists and media makers who qualify as TJA members.

We ask just three things.

• Propose a training, conference, or other professional development opportunity that either:
  • supports trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive journalists (including you!) in developing their careers
  • or supports efforts to produce accurate coverage of trans communities
• Attend the event or opportunity
• Fill out a feedback form [1] to let us know how it went

That's it! We want to facilitate whatever best-supports trans journalists and trans journalism. We trust that you know what you need!
