Finding Your Voice in Longterm Storytelling: A Conversation With David Walter Banks

As part of our grants and mentoring program at Vital Impacts, we've created an online lecture series to support a growing community of environmentally focused photographers and storytellers. These talks are designed to nurture, inspire, and connect those using their work to advocate for our planet.

We’re thrilled to invite you to our next talk on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM ET with renowned photographer, environmental advocacy artist, and Vital Impacts mentor David Walter Banks.

Known for his blend of stylized portraiture, documentary work, and long-term storytelling, David will take us behind the scenes of "Trembling Earth" — his three-year project focused on protecting Georgia’s Okefenokee Swamp.
