"Across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, valuable goods are being transported daily. But the goods - crude oil, gasoline and other hazardous liquids, as well as natural gas - are shipped out of sight, through transmission pipelines under the land and waters of the region.

The 15-county Cincinnati region has more miles of transmission pipelines buried beneath it than the state of Kentucky has miles of interstate highway. Several natural gas transmission systems come together in Warren County; the number of pipelines operated by different companies in our region has been cited as one reason we have low natural gas prices."
