"Erin Brockovich, the environmental activist whose crusade against a toxic chemical in California drinking water inspired a blockbuster 2000 movie, is heading to Capitol Hill this week to continue her fight.

Brockovich, who led the battle against hexavalent chromium -- a known carcinogen -- plans to meet with several members of Congress as well as regulatory agency officials, her spokeswoman said.

She plans to be on Capitol Hill starting tomorrow, with meetings running through the rest of the week.

Details about which members of Congress she will sit down with are still being worked out."
