"Energy Issues Central To Colorado Governor's Race" [1]

"The major-party candidates for Colorado's open governor's seat clashed on energy policy and water issues during two debates over the weekend.

Jared Polis, a Democratic congressman who's held office for 10 years, is running against Walker Stapleton, a Republican who's serving his second term as state treasurer. The incumbent governor, Democrat John Hickenlooper, is term-limited.

Both energy and water are intertwined with Colorado's rapid urban growth — much of Denver's suburban growth is happening in and around existing oil fields in eastern Colorado, and all that growth is stressing the state's water supply."

Mike Lee reports for Greenwire October 8, 2018. [2]
