"High Lead Levels Found in Sampling of Vermont Schools’ Water" [1]

"High lead levels have been found in drinking water of all five Vermont schools tested so far in a new state program.

A drinking fountain at one elementary school showed lead in drinking water levels hundreds of times above Vermont’s allowable level of 4 parts per billion.

Vermont historically has one of the highest levels of lead poisoning among children in the nation, due to old buildings with lead paint and old water taps."

Adrianne Appel reports for Bloomberg Environment August 14, 2019. [2]
