"Temporary EPA Chief Could Keep Gig for Years Without Senate Vote" [1]

"President Donald Trump’s temporary replacement for embattled former EPA chief Scott Pruitt may not be so temporary after all.

Senate Republicans are eager to avoid a politically charged fight to confirm Andrew Wheeler as EPA administrator, the role he is filling on an acting basis, before midterm elections in November and amid a separate battle over Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.

Trump hasn’t said whether he will nominate Wheeler for the EPA’s top job."

Jennifer A Dlouhy reports for Bloomberg July 16, 2018. [2]
