Black Dust Covers Oklahoma Town As Residents Face Renewed Pollution Fears [1]

"Across a quiet Oklahoma town, a mysterious black dust has appeared throughout neighborhoods. As residents search for answers, many say this triggers memories from decades before."

"PONCA CITY, Okla. — Across a quiet Oklahoma town, a mysterious black dust has appeared throughout neighborhoods.

Ponca City is a northern Oklahoma town with a population of about 24,000 people. Linda and Travis Kirby have lived in the town for 10 years, but they said there is something distinct about the community.

“We noticed that our pets had come in, and they were covered in this black debris," Linda Kirby said. “It wasn't dirt. It was just black, like coal.”

The couple says the fine, black material covers their home, streets and even the playground where their granddaughter plays, raising concerns about pollution and possible health risks associated with the mystery dust."
