"Public Lands: Concern, Anger Grow Over Outdoor Act Implementation" [1]

"The Interior Department yesterday submitted to Congress its lists of Land and Water Conservation Fund projects to be prioritized for fiscal 2021 — a week late and amid fierce backlash from members of both parties and environmental advocates.

The submission, however, may not resolve widespread frustration, concern and skepticism about the outgoing Trump administration's commitment to implementing its signature conservation legislation, which it signed into law in August.

Environmental advocates who worked closely with Congress on drafting the Great American Outdoors Act and have been following its implementation say the administration's new lists are insufficient."
