The Society for Conservation Biology's biennial International Congress for Conservation Biology [1] (ICCB) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 21-25, 2019. ICCB is a global forum for addressing conservation challenges and presenting new research in conservation science and practice. Close to 2,000 scientists, including conservation professionals and students, policy experts, and government officials will attend ICCB, making it an ideal venue for journalists to cover the latest in conservation research, trends, news and policy. Some of the biggest topics in conservation will be discussed and presented at ICCB, including illegal wildlife trade and traffic, resource extraction, climate change, human-wildlife conflict, regional and national conservation policy, and more.

In addition to more than 100 contributed sessions on cutting edge conservation science and innovative ideas, ICCB will be hosting multiple plenary speakers including Fabien Cousteau, acclaimed deep sea explorer and grandson of Jacques Cousteau. Press will exclusively be invited to intimate conversations with each plenary speaker following their talk.

We offer complimentary registration to credentialed journalists (reporters, editors, news photographers) who work for a news service or broadcast outlet and who cover the environment, science or related news.
