Group Sues Interior for Failure to Disclose Correspondence with Wind Industry [1]
The American Bird Conservancy has gone to court after the Interior Department stonewalled its Freedom-of-Information-Act requests for correspondence between feds and the wind industry on how wind farms affect birds and bats.
The group says it filed six FOIA requests with the Fish & Wildlife Service some eight months ago for information on wind projects in 10 states. It filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia June 26, 2012, alleging that the agency failed to provide all responsive records.
