The Roundtable on Environmental Health Sciences, Research, and Medicine (EHSRM Roundtable) will hold an open workshop focusing on ecosystem services and human health. This workshop, in Washington DC, will bring together members of the ecology, ecosystem services, and health communities to gain a better understanding of the connections between coastal waterways and ocean processes and public health risks and benefits. This National Academies Institute of Medicine workshop is one in a series of workshops sponsored by the EHSRM Roundtable, which was established in 1998 to provide a mechanism for parties from the academic, industrial, and federal research perspectives to meet and discuss sensitive and difficult environmental health issues in a neutral scientific setting.
