DEADLINE: CANEX Shorts Film Competition

Afreximbank, through its Creative Africa Nexus programme (CANEX) is excited to announce the 3rd edition of CANEX Shorts, a short film competition for young filmmakers, aged 18 to 35, living in Africa and the Diaspora. CANEX Shorts has been established in order to further engage with the film community ahead of CANEX at IATF2025 (Intra-African Trade Fair 2025) taking place in Algiers, Algeria from 4 - 10 September 2025.

Each of three winners will receive a cash prize of $2000 and have their film screened at CANEX at IATF2025 and be invited to the event. Flights and accommodation to be paid for.
