Thank you for your interest in SEJ membership! Because joining SEJ requires eligibility criteria to be met, expect 2-5 business days for your application to be screened. If you apply on a weekend or after business hours, it may take longer. During very busy times, or when SEJ's offices are closed between December 25 and January 1, your application could take up to two weeks to process. Feel free to check on the status of your application by emailing sej@sej.org, and know that staff will make every effort to screen your application in a timely manner.
SEJ welcomes everyone to create an SEJ profile, tell us who you are and browse our site — but only journalists, professors, students and others working in areas closely related to journalism are eligible for membership in the Society of Environmental Journalists.
