SEJ Member Spotlight: Gary Braasch

"Daily Planet" now orbits in Raleigh, NC.

Photojournalist Gary Braasch has several projects on the go.

1. Gary Braasch's photographs and words are an important part of the launch of the Science Research Center of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Earth Day weekend (April 20 & 21, 2012). Inside the 50-foot "The Daily Planet" a huge screen displays images and concepts about climate change in a visual journey into Earth's environment and its changes, produced by Batwin + Robin Productions. Scientists and reporters present reports from the field inside the huge Earth.

2. The human touch transforms the Earth — in climate visualization.

Painting With Time: Climate Change, a most innovative new view of how global warming is changing the Earth, is now available at the Apple IPad App Store, and will soon be released in an iPhone version. The app is produced by Red Hill Studios in collaboration with World View of Global Warming. Try the 15-second demo here on Facebook.
