The results of Muck Rack's State of Journalism Survey are now available.
While the survey was not exclusive to environmental journalism, 25 percent of the 2400+ journalists surveyed said their work included coverage of "energy and environment."
Data Point Highlights:
- 94% of journalists say that some, most or all of their reporting has pivoted to angles related to COVID-19.
- While 19% of journalists say they have less work in general, 23% say they have a larger workload due to the layoffs and furloughs of others where they work.
- The average journalist covers 3 or more beats.
