Meet SEJ member Lisa John Rogers! Lisa John is an environmental health journalist and art critic from the Midwest. When not writing about regional PFAS news, she's working as the News Editor for Detroit PBS’s Great Lakes Now, an Emmy Award-winning environmental television show and website. Also passionate about historical research, Lisa John previously worked as a producer on the Peabody-nominated podcast Unfinished: Deep South. In her free time, she's working on a newsletter that blends environmental and health reporting with art writing. She’s always looking to connect with others on the importance of place, art, health, history and the environment — please reach out with any potential collaboration ideas or conversation starters.
When asked how SEJ membership makes her job easier, Lisa John said, "SEJ has made my job easier through its toolboxes and tip sheets. These are great resources for building Great Lakes Now's editorial calendar. I also love the EJToday newsletter; it's a great way to catch environmental stories outside of the usual places I find my reading material." Join us — apply for SEJ membership.
