DEADLINE: IWMF Kim Wall Memorial Fund
The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) accepts applications from women journalists with at least three years' experience for the Kim Wall Memorial Fund, established in honor of the award-winning Swedish journalist who covered important, underreported stories from around the world. Deadline: Jan. 4, 2019.
One $5,000 reporting grant is awarded annually to a female journalist who carries forward Kim’s legacy of reporting on subcultures and "the undercurrents of rebellion."
The fund covers reporting-related costs such as travel (flights, ground transportation, drivers), logistics, visa fees and payment for fixers/translators.
Wall was one of a team of reporters who won first place in the Explanatory Reporting category of SEJ's 17th Annual Awards for Reporting on the Environment, for the Marshall Islands Project.
