SEJ mourns the tragic loss of Charlie Hebdo journalists Stéphane Charbonnier, Georges Wolinski, Berbard Verlhac, Jean Cabut and others who died in Paris today at the hands of terrorists.

“Journalists everywhere cringe whenever fellow journalists are attacked. It is even more incomprehensible and outrageous when a journalist is killed purely for exercising journalistic freedoms. The victims would demand that we raise heck. Let’s do just that,” said SEJ president Jeff Burnside.
