Journalists, essayists, poets, and other writers who need solitude essential to creative work may apply for a session at The Mesa Refuge, a residency program for environmental writers, in Point Reyes Station, CA. Room and most dinners are provided at no cost; however donations are welcome. Travel to and from Point Reyes is each resident's responsibility. The program is open to both experienced and emerging writers. Eight residency sessions are being offered in 2013 for up to 24 residents: Four two-week sessions in the spring and four two-week sessions in the fall. Deadlines: December 14, 2012 for Spring 2013; June 3, 2013 for Fall 2013.
