Open Data in a Closing World
World Resources Institute and National Geographic Society host a half-day conference entitled “Open Data in a Closing World,” featuring keynotes by former EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and astronaut Mae Jemison.
The event coincides with the launch of WRI’s new data platform, Resource Watch, that will provide high-quality, trusted and easily accessible data to make informed decisions about the environment and human development.
Panels include discussions on technology for a sustainable future featuring reps from Google, Descartes Labs and on data journalism with Politico’s Emily Holden, Maggie Koerth-Baker from Five-Thirty-Eight and Leslie Shapiro of the Washington Post.
The event in Washington, DC is sold out but you can join in the livestream here at 9:00amET.
