DEADLINE: AAJA’s Executive Leadership Bootcamp

Event Date:
November 11, 2016
ELP Bootcamp, a one-day leadership and career development event open to all media and communications professionals, will be taking place at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York City on Saturday, November 19. The cost to participate is $50 for AAJA members and $150 for non-members. This includes registration, conference materials and a reception following the program.

For the past 20 years, AAJA has coached nearly 500 industry professionals through the Executive Leadership Program (ELP). Alumni have gone on to become editors and managers at top news organizations and media tech companies such as the New York Times, NBCUniversal and Google. As the program looks to the future, we want to build on its success and open it to a wider audience beyond the Asian American community. Those who want to succeed in this new era of multiculturalism need to build a broad set of skills.

Led by professional career coaches and executives, participants will explore a variety of topics such as:
  • Leading Without Managing
  • Incredibly Useful Productivity Tools
  • Gender Inequality and Female Leadership
  • Seven Steps to Successful Negotiation
  • From Idea to Products
...and many more!

AAJA's ELP Bootcamp will be held at the City University of New York (CUNY) in New York City from 9am to 5pm with a reception from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The CUNY Journalism School is located at 219 W 40th St, New York, NY 10018. Sign up here.
