Freelance Contracts: A Public-Interest Roundtable

Join Mother Jones CEO Monika Bauerlein, former Bloomberg News Global Media Counsel Charles Glasser, freelance investigative reporter Alexandria Bordas and Freelance Investigative Reporters and Editors (FIRE) executive director Laird Townsend for a lively roundtable discussion on investigative freelance contracts, with special emphasis on legal liabilities and indemnification.

The event will sound out a range of public-interest solutions to liability and other contractual challenges, featuring tips, tactics and hard-won insight from decades of freelance journalism—along with two newly unveiled tools for the field.
