Metcalf Institute Inclusive SciComm Symposium

Metcalf Institute's biennial Inclusive SciComm Symposium brings together people who work to shift science and science communication toward a just, equitable, and inclusive future. Attendees work across diverse disciplines and settings, such as practitioners, researchers, teachers, students, community organizers, engineers, medical and technical professionals, and more.

The next symposium will take place both virtually and in-person. The in-person part of the conference will take place at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, U.S.A., October 19-21, 2023; virtual sessions will be held on 9/29/23, 10/6/23, 10/13/23, and 11/3/23.

In person Symposium:

    Oct 19 – Check-in opens at 4:30pm ET; reception 4:30-6pm; opening session 6-7:30pm
    Oct 20 – Check-in opens at 8:30am; programming 9am-6pm
    Oct 21 – Check-in opens at 8:30am; programming 9am-6pm

Virtual Symposium:

    9/29/23, 10/6/23, 10/13/23, and 11/3/23 – from 11am-3 pm ET, via Zoom.
